New Face Friday Interview with Judi Shekoni AKA Zafrina in Breaking Dawn - Part 2

TwiFans.com, and your favorite Twilight Fansites, have been invited to participate in New Faces Friday. Every Friday from now until the end of October, a new actor/actress and Breaking Dawn - Part 2 character will be spotlighted along with a new interview conducted by fansites.

This week BreakingDawnMovie.org is featuring the full interview with Judi Shekoni who plays Zafrina! Zafrina is part of the Amazonian coven. Zafrina can make her target see any illusion she wants, or nothing at all. While on a hunting trip to the Amazon in the 1940’s, the Cullens met the Amazons, who were taken by Carlisle’s gentle, friendly manner. The Amazon Coven is isolated in the wetlands of Brazil, the Amazons are unknown to most vampires, including the Volturi. Zafrina is a meat eating vampire that helps Bella in Breaking Dawn - Part 2 with her own vampire skills. We also get our first glimpse of Zafrina in the Breaking Dawn - Part 2 trailer here.

Now onto the interview:

Could you talk about what it was like the first time you saw yourself fully in costume? There are some wonderful studio stills that were released of you and Tracey [Heggins] together in costume.

Yes, the first time I saw myself fully in costume was overwhelming. It was kind of hypnotic and you can't stop staring at yourself in the mirror. It was just kind of overwhelming. I don't think I've ever been in that position in my life, where I had so many people who are great at what they do, all come together and work on this project as one entity. It was really breathtaking. As it was happening with the costume tests and make up tests that when it finally came together, it was all of a process, and it was very rewarding.

Will we get to see some of Zafrina's illusions in Breaking Dawn Part 2?

I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about that. [laughs] I mean, we know the character has a special power. I don't know if I can talk about that to be honest. I'm so sorry.
