New Moon: OK it is better the second time
So as I mentioned in my last post here, I am re-reading (well listening on audiobook) New Moon. I have put this off for ages because it's so depressing. After bawling my eyes out after chapter 3 and trudging through chapter 4, I now have to admit it is much better the second time.Instead of rushing through to get to Edward's return like I did the first time, I am really paying attention to the Jacob and wolfpack dynamic. It's much more interesting how everything unfolds. The first time I didn't like Jacob at all, but now I see how good he is to her and how he was there for her. It also makes me angrier with Edward that he could leave her alone with Victoria still "at large". Didn't the Cullens know she'd be a target!?
I'm still team Edward and I don't see that ever changing, but New Moon is definitely better the second time around for me. I'm not finished yet, I'm right to the point where Jacob gets Bella to remember the wolf legend and figure out what he has become...
So was New Moon better for you the second time?

I'll let you know when I get there. I remember the first time I read it, I started it later in the evening and knew that Edward was going to leave. I decided that I would read until he returned. Hundreds of pages later, at 5 am, he still hadn't returned...lol. I decided to finally go to bed. I am interested to read it the second time around. I still don't like Jacob, but that's because I'm so deep into Team Edward that there's no coming out! Glad you enjoyed it better!
