New Moon Slips to the Number 2 spot (+11 movie stills)

Over the weekend "New Moon" slipped to the number 2 spot earning just under $4,615,553 less than "Blind Side."Overall 'New Moon' made $15,427,628 this weekend with a earnings total of $255,363,052. Not a bad total for 3 weeks in 4,124 theaters. It has already passed the $193 million total gross for the original "Twilight."

But in bad news, we are down 70% with this weekends earnings compared to the opening weekend. Have the hardcore fans already seen the movie and are we solely relying on repeat viewers? I hope not. Keep seeing "New Moon," but when comparing it to "Twilight" figures, it's already a success to Summit Entertainment for sure.

And remember it took 3 weeks for a movie that came out at the same time to climb over New Moon! I think that once the schools let out for Christmas break and the Twi fans get Christmas money gifts we will see an increase.

I'm going for the 4th time this weekend.

I've stopped going twice a week because it snows so much down here but I plan seeing it every Monday or Friday of each week till it leaves. BUT I'M SO PROUD OF THE FILM !!

P.S. i have seen it 3 times and will see it a fourth by next week, I just try to fall asleep during the middle of it and wait for Edward to come back.
