It's about a young veterinary student, Jacob Jankowski, who is about to take his final exam when he is called out of the classroom to identify his parents who were killed in an accident. He discovers his parents went into debt to put him through Cornell University, and the bank is taking over his parents' home. He has no home and no money. He jumps a train and discovers it's a circus train. He becomes the vet for the circus. He falls in love with Marlena, the star of the show, who is married to a paranoid schizophrenic, who has a violent temper. It's a complicated story. You can't compare Jacob Jankowski with Edward Cullen. I've read the book several times, it's awesome.

Comment by Lin on March 20, 2011 at 12:58pm: I just don't buy Pattinson as an american, he looks too much like David Bowie when he was younger. I think he should go the route that Hugh Grant went: just play a brit...my personal opinion, not intended to insult or start a flame war.
