MTV.com reports:

"The saga of Ronald Reagan is certainly a fascinating one. The A-list actor went on to have a pretty okay career in politics. You know, just the 40th president of the United States. No big deal.

The biopic, which carries a $30 million budget and is targeted for a late 2011 release, will be helmed by "Malice" director Jonas McCord, The Hollywood Reporter reveals. He also wrote the script, working from a pair of optioned biographies by bestselling author Paul Kengor: "The Crusader" and "God and Ronald Reagan." McCord admits to not being a fan of the former president, but being intrigued by the project as he learned more about Reagan's early life. The story will open on the 1981 assassination attempt, telling the Gipper's life story through "flashbacks and flash-forwards."

It's all going to hinge on who plays Reagan, of course. And as you might expect, we have a few suggestions...

Josh Brolin
How could I not suggest Josh Brolin? His dad played Reagan, for starters. And Josh already played George W. Bush in the 2008 Dubya biopic "W." What's one more Republican president? Would he do it though? That's another question entirely.

Crispin Glover
I initially scoffed when MTV reporter Eric Ditzian threw Crispin Glover out as a possibility. The guy is obsessed with "Back to the Future." The more I think about it though, the more I believe that Glover could kick some ass as our 40th president. The resemblance is close enough that makeup could finish the job. And let's face it: the only reason the world didn't explode during the latter days of the Cold War was the knowledge that a crazy, old coot from Hollywood had his finger on the big red button. If I buy anyone in that chair, it's Glover.

Peter Facinelli
Obviously some of you are going to think that Peter Facinelli is on the list to placate the "Twilight" fans. This is MTV; you're a big part of our audience. No. Facinelli is actually a strong actor, he could be made up to resemble the former prez and, as he's proven in "Twilight," he can play an older man as well as he does a younger man. A good pick for capturing Reagan at the varying stages of his life
.

Zachary Quinto
Zachary Quinto is a damn talented actor and he's already said that he wants to take on some more serious gigs. Reagan, frequently referred to as the "Teflon President," had a disarming way about him. So too does Quinto. What's more, the resemblance between the former "Heroes" star and our ex-president during his Hollywood years is impossible to miss.

Sacha Baron Cohen
Finally, there's Sacha Baron Cohen. Many of the reasons that make Quinto a great choice apply equally to the "Bruno" and "Borat" star. Cohen has the added benefit of comedy experience, which he could easily channel in capturing the more playful side of our 40th president."

Don't get me wrong Twi-fans, I *lurv* me some Papa Cullen, but I honestly think that Zachary Quinto would be a better match for Ronald Reagan, see his picture below:

Yah, that Zachary looks A LOT like him. A LOT. Wow. I can see Peter doing it too though. I agree, those are the best two out of this list, I think anyway. :)

I love Peter Facinelli and hate Ronald Reagan. I don't think I could get over having Peter play Reagan. Peter is an excellent actor with a broad range - if you get a chance get the Damages 1st season DVD (netflix) he plays a really hot guy and a it's great part.
