PFach has requested Breaking Dawn Sex Scenes be PG-13

Peter Facinelli To Producers: Please Keep The Sex Scenes In ‘Breaking Dawn’ PG-13 So My Daughter Can Watch!

Do you agree with Peter that hot and heavy love-makin’ between Rob and Kristen is too racy for tween audiences?
We’ve been waiting for soooo long to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart FINALLY make sweet, sweet love in the fourth and final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn, that it didn’t even occur to us that some people (re: parents) might not be so happy at the seductive content.

However, Peter Facinelli—who plays hot vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen—has made us see the error of our ways.

“I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” Peter, 37, explained to exclusively Jan. 16 at Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party.

“Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation,” he added. “I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”

We like how Peter sees both sides here: he doesn’t want to destroy his daughter’s innocence, yet he wants the flick to remain pure for die-hard fans. His primary loyalty is to his family though, after all—family always comes first to this #1 Dad.

What do you think about the Twilight conundrum? Should the producers keep the sex scenes and potentially alienate a large portion of their audience or keep it age-appropriate? Can there be a happy medium?

ECACTLY. It does NOT have to be all hot and steamy and sexual. Just romantic! And you can achieve this with PG-13 as well.

They need to stick to the book!!! If HIS daughter is to young for the movie version of the book I hope he didn't let her read the book. Since its so innapropriate for young girls. The BREAKINGDAWN honeymoon scene was HOT as hell and there was no sex details in it. SO BRING ON the BROKEN Headboard & Feathers, bruised thighs, barely nude beach scene (the'll probably just show: back of her legs, her lower back, shoulders, arms, stomach or her in a bathing suit). And for PETER: Eclipse had heavier non-sex scene then Breakingdawn did. So I imagen you didn't let your daughter read that one, or did you?

I think they should stay true to the book and keep the love scenes, but to me most of the bed banging is really left up to our imagination and despite my evil side that wants it to be R-rated (possibly even xxx rated) I think that it can still be done within parameters that will allow the younger audience to still see it without being too jaded.

Why the hell would any parent let their Kid read Breaking Dawn in the first place???Ugh I hate this Topic its not just so we can perv over Edward lol its the principle of it.......if the Sex Scenes are Cut then I will feel Cheated and it would be a Very Sad Day for all Real Twilight Fans :( Lets just see what happens...............Oooh and if SM agrees with the PG-13 rating why did she write the Sex Scene so hot in the first Place......just wondering????

Yeah i agree with Peter. As much as i want to see a hot, sexy, racy sex scene between Bella & Edward, it wont be fair to the younger Twihards, dont want them to miss out on the movie cause their too young and what not. To be honest with u, i think the producers will go with PG-13 doe matter what.

I think they should stick to the book..even if you are 10 years old, you read the book and you know that there is a beautiful love scene...we'll be more disappointed if there won't be a real sex scene or something that gets close to a sex scene..if there will be only kisses and a lot of slow motions i mean that will be boring...action is really gotta be there..they just gotta stick to the book and everything is gonna be ok...!!

Very true Eliza i agree who would let there 12 year old read BD?!? It just makes me sad to think that they've come this far in creating 2, hopefully 3 really good movies just to go and spoil it at the last hurdle... I want a beautiful proper love scene just like in the book.

The sex was really all just implied. As adults, we KNOW what happened. Never was there anything like "throbbing manhood", "wetness", "deeper and deeper." The scenes were implied graphic. It can be done well with lighting, mood music, camera shots, etc. I think that the initial "sex scene" can be left in just as Stephanie wrote it...walk into the water ten wake up in bed. They can leave out the bruising and muscles aches but they HAVE to leave in the feathers...that's my favorite line (and image.) The birth scene can be done with camera angles, music, face shots of Jacob and Edward showing their emotions, and of course, lighting. They don't need to show all of the blood...that, too, can be implied. I hope they do justice to the book and to us, the fans,
