PFach has requested Breaking Dawn Sex Scenes be PG-13

Peter Facinelli To Producers: Please Keep The Sex Scenes In ‘Breaking Dawn’ PG-13 So My Daughter Can Watch!

Do you agree with Peter that hot and heavy love-makin’ between Rob and Kristen is too racy for tween audiences?
We’ve been waiting for soooo long to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart FINALLY make sweet, sweet love in the fourth and final Twilight film, Breaking Dawn, that it didn’t even occur to us that some people (re: parents) might not be so happy at the seductive content.

However, Peter Facinelli—who plays hot vampire patriarch Carlisle Cullen—has made us see the error of our ways.

“I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” Peter, 37, explained to HollywoodLife.com exclusively Jan. 16 at Lionsgate’s pre-Golden Globes party.

“Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation,” he added. “I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”

We like how Peter sees both sides here: he doesn’t want to destroy his daughter’s innocence, yet he wants the flick to remain pure for die-hard fans. His primary loyalty is to his family though, after all—family always comes first to this #1 Dad.

What do you think about the Twilight conundrum? Should the producers keep the sex scenes and potentially alienate a large portion of their audience or keep it age-appropriate? Can there be a happy medium?

Maybe they should film it R rated and then edit it to be PG-13 as well so they can show two versions of it at the cinema? Oh i don't know what they r gonna do to solve this problem... but either way they should defo stick to the book.

I think that they should make it exactly like the book in this situation...Because if a young person is able to read it then they can see it, right? If they know what is going on in the books then it wouldnt really matter if they saw it on film. Therefore, a person that is not old enough to even read or understand the book might not be able to go see it but it wouldnt matter because they werent old enough to understand the book in the first place. The question is: is the material in the book PG13 or R?

yes I agree ( I don't want a sex movie) but the book has to be respected! It is the final point of the wedding and of Bella's transformation, it's the proof of their mutual love. So cute but hot too ^^

they could keep it like the notebook sex scene accept toned down alittle and darker idk how they should do it but the note book was still rated PG-13

I have to agree with Peter. Seriously people..if you want a steamy scene, read the book again and use your imagination. I highly doubt that Stephanie will let them go all graphic for people who are so intent on seeing a hot, steamy sex scene. Not necessary. It should be pure and beautiful as the way it is intended. If you need to have that in the film, it's a little perverse if you ask me, honestly, you don't need the graphic scene. Make it beautiful and funny.

i think that it should be given to us like it is in the book , wripped langerie and all, the book was written a certain way for a reason , so why mess it up?? i think that if Stephenie wrote it a certain way it should be portraied on the big screen a certain way, i dont think there was anything to extreme about the way that their love making was written , i mean its not like she went as far as to write like full on fan fic mode (ive read bella edward fanfic OHH BABY) so i think that when Bella and Edward make love we should get it to the t

WAIT....If they are old enough to READ the books....then, logically, they should be old enough to be able to WATCH the scenes.

Sorry Peter, I do not agree with you on this. While the scenes do not need to be hard-core, they should not be watered down either.
As a parent myself...IF YOUR DAUGHTER IS TOO YOUNG TO WATCH A SEX SCENE...THEN WHY ARE YOU LETTING HER READ BREAKING DAWN?

WE HAVE WAITED A LONG TIME FOR THIS...and Edward and Bella are MARRIED at this point - so I believe they should STICK TO THE BOOK!!

SHAME ON YOU for not first reading what your child is reading...after all, who purchased the book?

Has Peter been to a PG-13 movie lately, they are already crossing the line with sexual inuendo's....I understand where he is coming from but really it would be nice to Edward and Bella together in a steamy scene we have
waiting so long......GO ROBSTEN

They would probably lose money and audience members if they made the scenes too steamy. Besides, most of what happened between them was implied (i.e. no descriptions of thrusting or anything) so I don't see why they can't be true to the book and give us sex-starved fans what we want. RIGHT???
