Rachelle Lefevre 'stunned' and 'saddened' to be replaced in 'Twilight's' 'Eclipse'

RachelleL_Steve_16154309_600 “Twilight Saga” star Rachelle Lefevre was reportedly none too happy that she was out of the series’ third film, “Eclipse.”
“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’ ” Lefevre said in a statement.
I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga, and to the portrayal of Victoria,” Lefevre said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.
"My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only ten days. Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those ten days and would not accommodate me.
"Given the length of filming for ‘Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10 day overlap. I was happy with my contract with Summit and was fully prepared to continue to honor it. Summit chose simply to recast the part.”
The star concluded, "I am greatly saddened that I will not get to complete my portrayal of Victoria for the ‘Twilight’ audience. This is a story, a theatrical journey and a character that I truly love and about which I am very passionate. I will be forever grateful to the fan support and loyalty I’ve received since being cast for this role, and I am hurt deeply by Summit’s surprising decision to move on without me. I wish the cast and crew of ‘Eclipse’ only the very best.”

Omg this is so sad. For only a 10 day overlap?! Surely they could jumble the filming a little bit to fit her in :[

The re-casting of Victoria was so effin random,they start filming in a few weeks..I mean wtf they should at the very least give a good f****** reason for firing her & not something as dumb as a 10 day overlap..

Keep emailing and sending letters. Summit is a business and acts as such...but I'm naively hoping that if the fans gather enough momentum they'll switch up this knee-jerk decision of theirs.

This is crazy, I sort of feel a little betrayed by Summit. I mean Eclipse would be Victorias biggest movie role and I feel like there had to be some other reasons why they would recast. I'm sort of upset about this whole deal. I hope they dont go and do something stupid and recast for my other favorites. I may have to go protest with picket signs!

MANE THE BEST THING SUMMIT EVER DID WAS FILM THE TWILIGHT SAGA. THE DUMBEST RECASTING FOR THE ROLE OF VICTORIA.

ok. When I first heard that they were re-casting 4 victoria, I did not believe it. When i found out that it was true, my heart was broken. This is the first time i actually heard her side and I feel that what Summit did was very rude in a way. It was just ten days. Only ten. I feel soo sad 4 her. I feel it was sooo unfair. Rachelle is the one and only victoria and I WILL NOT except any new ones. Who the H is Bryce Howard? she's not even pretty.
