Rob Talks about kristen in the new Vanity Fair Interview

IN vanity fair interview with robert pattinson..he talks about kristen stewart:

“Kristen is very focused on being an actress,” Pattinson says, “I mean, that’s what she is-she’s an actress. Whereas I-I just don’t really know.”

“Are you asking me if I’m really a vampire?,” Pattinson says, laughing, when I join the nosy chorus, asking if his on-screen love mirrors his relationship in real-life. As I wait for an answer, Pattinson literally starts squirming. “Yes. Um. No, not really,” he says. “It’s pretty hard to…It’s just very traumatic,” he says cryptically.

“I mean, are you very intense about each other?,” I ask.

“Oh, I don’t know,” he says finally. “She’s cool. Even before I knew her I thought she was a really good actress. Like, I saw Into the Wild, and I thought she was really good in that. I still think there are very few girls in her class that are as good as she is. It’s funny that she’s the one doing this huge-thing.

That is, Twilight.

“When this is over,” says Pattinson, meaning the seemingly unstoppable Twilight entertainment machine, “the media will lose interest” in their alleged affair. He hopes. “There’ll be nothing to say. It won’t fit into a headline anymore. It won’t fit into a template.”

"wrestles his way out the twilight zone". why must every discussion of robert or kristen begin with dissing "twilight"? and why do so many reporters make fun of a franchise that they blatantly use to get hits on their sites?

It comes across that Twilight has ruined his freedom because of us the fans. He also says he doesn't understand why people are so fascinated with everyone, I think he said he thought people say it just to belong to a group. I am in shock, can't believe he doesn't get it at all. I don't know about anyone else but for me it is about the love story and the characters of the book, the actors are just there bringing it to life. Now I do love the actors I won't lie and it is no trouble that all of them are easy on the eyes. In the same breath I can understand him just wanting to be able to go out in public and be normal however I still feel like he bashed us fans who have helped with his fame.

Comment by Clarissa on March 1, 2011 at 3:10pm: Jo Anna - I believes he thinks that the fans,especially that overly crazed by seeing him, are more infatuated by the character and not him as an actor. He and Kristen are rare ones in Hollywood, in that they appreciate their fans who support them and will watch their movie because they like they're acting but can you blame them if they are skeptical on why some will watch them. is it because they truly like the story of the next movie they may do or is because they want to see what this "twilight" star can do? like Kristen said before, she wondered if people were just interested in WTTR just to see "Bella" as a stripper. that can definitely be off putting to someone who loves to act and not for the fame a role will bring them.

I can't even begin to know what they have to go though and can't wait to see what kind of actors kristen and robert become. I hope they eventually get to live a close to normal life soon enough.

Comment by Robertfanxxxx on March 1, 2011 at 3:16pm: I am sorry Jo Anna i have to dissagree with you i have just read the article myself and Robert does not bash his fans far from it, He just says that he does not understand why people are so into him beause he does not see him self as that exciting because all he does is eat and watch Two and half men in his tralier. He also explains that he drove to New Oleans and on the way down there he stoped for food in taxes and no one new who he was and that was a nice experience for him because he could eat his tea with out being botherd he also said that when people found him like 1,000 people turned up and the bouncer said shall i knock them out and Robert said NO and did not know why the bouncer asked that. Also Robert said It does have an angle (meaning Twilight Saga)which is attached to something quite primal in girls. and I guess people want it to define them, like ‘I’m a Twilight fan.’… I think people really just like being part of a crowd. There’s something just tremendously exciting about hyping yourself up to that level.” There is nothing said there hurtful or mean to his fans. Robert always takes time more time even than some other actors to have photos and sign things for fans he always last of the carpet because he is with the fans. So i felt the need to defend him because i felt you're comment was not fair, and yes the sucess of Twilight has made Robert a star but at the same time Robert is a great actor and very hard working, "I hear so many horror stories about young actors with attitude showing up late or hung over, and there wasn’t any of that. He worked so hard”— Reese said that about Robert. Love you Robert forever and always!! xxxxxxxxxxx

I read the scans of the whole article & you know what I don't blame him. I would hate not being able to go to the airport, out to eat w/friends, the grocery store w/out being hounded.

He also hasn't fallen off the deep end by beleving all the hype about him and Twilight. It is what has kept him grounded... kept him normal... kept him Rob. With that said, I can almost hear him saying these words because he says it all the time - he doesn't know why people find him interesting. And face it... we DO identify with Twilight and with the characters. I know he's not Edward, which is my my name is EdwardFan, not RobFan... although I am that also. Don't flip out or read anything else into the article.
