Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart film Breaking Dawn in the streets of Lapa Photos & Details

A street in Lapa, Brazil was blocked off for Sunday night filming of Breaking Dawn. We aren't sure what this scene entails but this is what we have heard so far. There is music playing and people dancing. Showing a very vibrant culture alive in the streets. The music that is reportedly playing was Girl from Ipanema and this song.

According to QUEM:

While working, they had some problems.

The direction of the film decided to start the shots after noticing the presence of residents in the windows of buildings of Lapa. With the aim of achieving the scenes, the production asked for people to leave their windows. Upon request, the shooting resumed.
Preparations

Aiming to ensure that everything would work, the production bothered to set up
a special security scheme in place - which turned into a film set
between midnight and 7 o'clock in the morning.

The team closed an entire block for long. To access the site, residents needed throughout the day and at night, provide proof of residence. The production also rented apartments and windows between $ 50 and $ 500 reais, depending on the distance of where everything is filmed for the
movie.

The neighborhood of Lapa, which is famous as a meeting point, the bars had closed. According to rumors, the production paid between $ 10,000 and $ 20,000 for owners
of establishments that needed to halt its sales depending on the film.

Thank you to all the Brazilian girls helping keep us in the loop!
