Robert Pattinson has become such a mega star that he now has five body guards that travel with him to protect him from the mobs of screaming fans.

Reports from OK! Magazine say that Pattinson has been forced to travel with the bodyguards because of over zealous fans. A female fan tried to jump on Pattinson in New
York's Union Square where he was almost pushed under the wheel of a
car.

An eye witness to the incident said: "If it hadn't been for the quick-thinking of two members of his team, he could easily have been a goner. If his clothing had got caught or a foot had gone under
the car, there's no doubt he would have been dragged along and
seriously hurt."

Two members of his team grabbed him by the jacket and yanked him back up onto the curb to safety. He now won't travel to America without his body guards, three of whom are former US
Marines.
