The Twilight Examiner takes a look at rumors about future Twilight films:
Remember how in January the internet blew up with rumors of a sixth Twilight Saga film or potentially a Twilight-based television series? Then, how there was this whole back-and-forth about author Stephenie Meyer being peevedat the studio for the suggestion? Well, now a new related story has hit the web.
Over at Bloody-Disgusting, the report is that Twilight film studio Lions Gate is "already discussing [the future of theTwilight series] internally." The story continues, "It is still undecided exactly what the future of the franchise will be, though. It could be a direct remake ... but then again it could also be a spinoff or maybe even a one-off sequel. It could beanything to keep the green bills piling high. But expect a remake. Yes, quickly."
Obviously, this is not an official declaration. It does seem likely, however, that the studio would at least consider the option of continuing the Saga past this November's The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. And while the three leads - Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner - are busying themselves with future work well outside of the Saga and are thusly unlikely to return for a continuance, there are some castmates who've been open to the idea.
