Miichael Welch sat down with a great audio interview with Larry Richman and recorded a great audio interview. If you have time it's a great listen.
Lots of great info.Michael talks about the difference in the first two Twilight saga movies.
He believes that Christ Weitz was "born to make movies".
Here is a little taste of some info that came out of this interview....
Tell us what you think about wrapping on New Moon and about Twilight and their differences and Director Chris Weitz?
"
With Twilight Summit was dipping their toe in the water, they knew it was a popular book. But you never really know if something like that is going to translate popularity to the screen. So they sort of said let's give this a shot. Obviously it went very well, so this time around they went into it with the assumption that this was going to make money their money back so they put a lot of money into it and there was a lot of time for prep Twilight almost felt like an independent film compared to New Moon. Very professional very straight forward the days were not so long. Chris Weitz is one of the better directors I have every worked with. It was pleasure working with him. "
Chris understood what we needed and hopefully our next two directors will. Sounds like we will have David Spade for Eclipse and an unknown director for Breaking Dawn. Wonder if we will get a director that is geared to handle child birth?
We will also have something to do for the next 3 Novembers so keep your calendars free. "The movies are all planned to come out every November". Mike says.
When talking about David Spade, even though he couldn't remember his name but he knew his movies and discussed 'Hard Candy' not being Twilight fan friendly for the most part. And '30 days of Night' being darker and why that's good. "In the third film there will be an all out vampire war so it's going to go a bit darker".
