Fraterday is Friday night and Saturday morning. It is a movie term for filming on these days for 10 hours. 7 pm to 7 am is the norm.
So we found Bell's house and we hear filming starts for the first time that night. We are excited like kids going to summer camp. Kat, Srother, Lisa, Me, and my girls. We have water, snacks, and collapsible chairs. We are in for the long haul. We are determined and resourceful and cameras are ready. What we weren't ready for was the freezing tempatures and sneaky security people. And when I say sneaky I really mean complete douche bag but I will get to that!
There were 2 possible exit possibilities for the stars so we staked both out and then went with the closer exit and the one with less stalkers. We tried to be stealth about moving to the other location so we didn't have followers but we ended up getting the whole lot of them. I was not happy at first but then began to love the new twi-friends we were making. Making fun friends almost made freezing and dying worth it. It was like at least we had each other if we didn't get to see the stars.
But we still felt hope. We could hear directions being yelled out the set. Security would tell us how fans when off in the woods in search of seeing filming happening and then getting lost. Security for the movie had to go find them. I thought this ironic and funny. Yes I pondered wondering the woods for Robert but then thought..."Hi strange girl from the wood...SECURITY" was not how I wanted to meet Mr. Pattinson for the first time.
So we watched. We saw fake trees set up at the end of the street and light on cranes. We could see when the set was lit up like daytime and when it was dim for night. We could see the cast get shuttled to the trailers for changing and for lunch. But it was so far away that even my HUGE zoom couldn't get any shots.
The crew would at times shine the big light on us fans like and interrogation at a police station. This is when we knew to really be looking. It made is so we couldn't see but we tried our hardest.
We saw the black Mercedes go by one of the times they were trying to make us not see. We all freaked out. It had been the most exciting thing we had seen all even so far.
The coldest hours were around 3 am. I started cuddling under a blanket with Yvette from RPatzNews and a production assistant named Alison. Yes she spelled it just like me. A rarity for the Allisons of the world. So it must be cold to cuddle with virtual strangers.
Unlike other set watching stories I heard. These 15 or so fans were quiet, polite, and very excited to just be sitting outside the set. Which should make the next part of this adventure rile your twifan loyalty to another Twilight fan being mistreated. Ron, head Security in charge, came off nice to us. Asking us where we were from and making friends with the nice fans outside the barricades. So we did know any better when Ron came out and said that it would be wise for anyone who wanted to see the stars to go to the other exit point in 18 minutes. We all started running our camping equipment to the cars and thanked him. To this day I think that man was evil.
We understand your job is to keep the stars safe from maniacs. Maniacs that might want to hurt or follow them to their hotels. But very respectful girls that have waited overnight, with cars a 1/2 mile down the road didn't deserve the malicious treatment they got from you in the early morning hours of the first night at the Bella house set. Telling them to leave and to hurry to the other location so you could bring the stars out without fans waiting was cruel and unusual punishment. I believe no one at Summit Entertainment would agree with the way you treated their fans. Very loyal fans who just wanted to see their favorite people drive by in a car for 2 seconds. Need I remind you Ron that your job as security for the set is not a job that is needed without US fans. Keep that little ditty in ind the next time you decide to haze a group of devoted fans. We will ge the word out about you and you will have no control with your word at the next set stalking.
So yes from what you read we were treated badly and didn't even know we had been lied to for about an hour or more. Here is a picture of us excitedly waiting for Taylor and Kristen to drive by. You ask why just Taylor and Kristen?? Well
umm I mean Ron told us Robert had already left.
The barriers came down and we had an angry Twi-mob. We had Stephanie and her Twi-Dad who came up for the weekend just to see the stars of Stephanie's dreams, that had stayed all night. So here goes a MOB of 20 people up the hill walking to the set. I was in search for Ron. I asked a couple of people but no one answered. When the stars are gone security is no longer needed. We knew for sure the gig was up.
We were yelled at and told to leave. But guess what the very nice Twi-mob wasn't going anywhere. Instead we stood and took pictures and even when yelled at by crew. The yelled "the house is stationary it's not going anywhere, go away". We just kept taking pictures...
This across the street from Bella's house.
There were 2 Bella trucks, 2 motorcycles, 2 Black Mercedes, a Ford extended cab truck...I am thinking Mike Newton?, Charlie's Police Cruiser.
