This week's pick: The Truth About Juliet by luvcali76
Rating: PG-13
Summary: This is based on the events in New Moon, taking place two years after Bella’s eighteenth birthday, if Edward had not returned. How would Bella have truly fared?

STINA SAYS: Many fics are written in the time frame of New Moon and most of the plot lines in them are all very redundant and over used. But this is the first story that I have read where they took a huge risk, and even though it's heartbreaking, it's a great read. The summary above is extremely vague, but don't be misled; this is one of the most well-written and interesting one shots I have ever read. Get the tissues ready because if you are a crier, you will be bawling by the end. I think what happens in this story is a very realistic perception of what would happen to Bella, emotionally and mentally, if Edward never returned, especially under the dramatic circumstances that occur in this story.
Stina's rating: 9 fangs

SHEENA SAYS: This is definitely a step in another direction from the usual stories we review and it's not for the faint of heart. Remember how in New Moon Bella kept hearing Edward's voice? Turn that up a notch and twist a knife in her heart, and you have this story. You can't help but feel for everyone involved, especially Bella, and it's clear just what kind of effect Edward had on her and her life. Like in New Moon, Charlie is still helpless as he watches his daughter struggle through her turmoil, and Jacob still plays the part of the other guy, still not good enough — or right enough — to win Bella's heart, even in an Edwardless world. No matter how agonizing the story is, the ending is truly the heartbreaking part and will have you reaching for a box of Kleenex.
Sheena's rating: 8 fangs
