My name ist Caitlin, I’m from Germany and 20 years old. I live in a small town near Kaiserslautern, also called K-town, maybe someone knows that city because of the airbase in Ramstein (few minutes away from it).
I’m attending university since summer 2008, studying German and history, in a few years I’ll be (hopefully) a teacher.
The Twilightvirus got me on Christmas 2007, as a present. Reading it was the first thing i did in 2008- and with that moment, I was addicted... Unfortunately I had to study a lot for graduation, so I forbid myself to read New Moon and Eclipse until end of January (= torture).
Well, one thing you have to now about me, is that one of my hobbies is writing (it’s my hobby since I was 11). In may I started to write fanfictions (Twilightfanfics, of course!) and one of the fanfics is posted on a german fansite named Biss-xperts and is called Esme’s Miracle- I concentrated on one of my favorite characters and fullfilled the wish of her life-(no, Esme is not pregnant in this story and yes, because of their decisions they got some Volturivisits.).
I’m also working on a fantasynovel, called “Ire and Peace”, completely different from Twilight.
But- back to Twilight:
This bookseries made my year 2008- starting with reading it, getting the news about the film and in april, I got to know my best online friend: Akii.
One of the greatest moments last year was her visit in autumn and then, again, in december.
Another great moment was in November, when all my hope died to see the movie soon (I am not into watching movies online and in Germany, the movie will start in cinema on January 15) I got the news, that the Cinema in Ramstein would show it with the original voices, starting one day after the US-start! So the first thing I did was reserve some tickets for the next day.
It was great! It was so great! The atmosphere- I was never in a movie where people applauded so loud at the beginning and the end. I don't think that there was any empty seat in the room. And the reactions during the film, great! It was like sitting in a whole room filled with twilightaddicted people, I can’t wait to New Moon to get this feeling again :-)
Next time, I think I will have to send my grandparents on a visit to my uncle, because of my friends who will need a place to stay for the night after New Moon and we need some space for all. But, well, I have time until November to prepare them...
My next Twilightevent will be a visit- I will see Akii again! *totally happy* We will meet other Germantwilighter to watch the movie in the german translation alltogether in 2 weeks...
Only 14 days...
= tooooooo long!
I will stop now- as you can see, I love to write long texts.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask! Please just ignore my mistakes...
And because I will now go to bed (its 1 a.m): Good night!
