While speaking about her latest film Austenland which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend, Twilight author Stephenie Meyer touched on the possibilities of a Twilighttheme park.
The conversation sprung up because Austenland, as the title suggests, takes place in a Jane Austen theme park after being inspired by Pride & Prejudice. MTV asked what a “Twilightland” would look like.
“I cannot comprehend why you would do that,” Meyer said matter of fact-ly. “How could you create that? It would be so boring. Would you have to go to high school for that? Ugh. Sounds awful. I don’t want to go back to high school.”
Added Meyer, “What would the ride be? We don’t have rides [in the Twilight books or films]. I guess you could have a mechanical vampire that you could ride piggy back. I think that’d be a liability issue though.”

Austenland, produced by Stephenie Meyer and written by Shannon Hale, is expected to open sometime in 2013.
