While promoting her first non-Twilight book-to-film adaptation at last night's world premiere for The Host, Meyer talked about the conflicting experience.
"I hope I’m getting better," she told theVancouver Sun. "Hopefully practice makes perfect. With Twilight I really was very very raw. I think I’m good at storytelling and not necessarily writing it in a beautiful way. I think I’m a lot better in The Host. I think I’m learning.”
She added to The Hollywood Reporter, "I hope that I’m able to do better things. While I’ll always have Twilight with me, I’ll grow and be a better writer."
Meyer intends to next write the sequel to The Host, The Seeker, but she's not sure it'll be the trilogy it was originally planned as.
"I might wrap it up in two. We’ll see if the story feels complete," she told THR.
