"Earlier this month, a lawyer for Jordan Scott, the author of the 2006 vampire novel “The Nocturne,” sent a cease-and-desist letter to Ms. Meyer’s publisher, Hachette Book Group, that said her work contains many situations that are similar to those in Ms. Meyer’s 2008 book “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth entry in her series about a romance between a mortal woman and an undead vampire. A lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court in California reiterated those similarities, noting, for example, that both books contained passages about a wedding and an after-wedding sex scene on a beach. Hachette Book Group said that Ms. Meyer had based “Breaking Dawn” on an earlier, unpublished sequel to “Twilight” that she wrote. The publisher called the suit a “publicity stunt to further Ms. Scott’s career,” and said it expected the court would dismiss it, according to Reuters." (1)
Okay so I've been keeping up with this for the last two days & I don't think that this is some April Fools Hoax. You can view the 15pg summary of everything found similar in the two books

Now I do think that this is a publicity stunt, meaning Twifans will run to the quickest bookstore to buy 'The Nocturne' so if you truly love Stephenie Meyer then resist the temptation and don't. I think this Scott chick is just trying to ride on the coattails of Meyer's incredibly successful saga! There are plenty enough examples given in the above link from tmz.com. So please let me know what you think about this.
On a different note, Stephenie Meyers - You know your hitting super stardom when people are suing you for plagiarism because they WISH their novel was as good as yours. They are just jealous so loathe it up. After all there's a reason your making all that good money - so you can afford the good lawyers! Good Luck & I'm behind ya 100%, all of us Die Hard TwiFans are =^)
I'd like to add, after further research on this shocking accusation, that
twilightlexicon (3)has done a WONDERFUL job at getting deep into this to support Stephenie Meyer. Before freaking out, check out all the evidentiary support. I think you'll see, as I do, that she's innocent!
