Stina Riz's Weekly Fanfiction Recommendation
Welcome Stina Riz's Weekly Fanfiction Recommendation blog post. Each week I'll recommend a piece of Twilight fan fiction, giving my opinion and rating it on a scale of one to 10 fangs with one fang being a dud and 10 being absolutely dazzling. Story Name: "The Cold War" by gleena
Rating: T
Summary: In 2026, the Cullens realize that Aro desperately wants to possess Edward in order to use him in a barbaric experiment. Now, the Cullens must evade the Volturi while protecting one of their own as well as Aro's unwitting human pawn. 100% Canon.
What I think: Lately I have been having an insatiable hunger for reading well written post Breaking Dawn fics. Let me tell you I am very picky and ones that captivate me the whole way through are hard to come by. This fic was incredible and it grabs you almost entirely from the beginning. The author gets the inter workings of each individual characters mind. I honestly kept forgetting this wasn't an actual continuation to the Twilight Saga. It seriously is that well written and engaging, and the plot line is very unique but seems to fit perfectly with the rest of the series.
Not to mention even the new characters that the author pulls into the plot are rich and intensely interesting, so much so that I wish they were actually a character in the saga. Another plus point this author gets is she made me actually like Jacob, and watching Edward and Jacob banter when they have finally accepted each others presence in their lives is extremely entertaining. This fic seriously had it all for me, there was some lovely Edward and Bella moments and some other couples has some moments that will make you go 'aww', there was action, adventure, sadness. Seriously stop reading this review and go now! Go read it :P haha.
What do I rate it? 10/10 - Not many stories I read get an A+
