Did someone mix up Twilight and Jersey Shore?

We've seen a long line of Twinspired products, but this one is definitely the most confusing! A skincare company called Australian Gold has released
a bronzer inspired by Stephenie Meyer's saga. Here's the description:

"Be drawn to the dark side with our revolutionary B3 Ultra Darkening Complex enhanced with DermaDark bronzers. Laced with the darkest
ingredients, the profound power of this formula is hidden in its unique
combination of bronzers. The darkening formula can thrill you, bewitch
you and make you long for Twilight…the dark just before the dawn."

Umm... maybe we're missing something, but we're pretty sure vampires are super pale and never go out in the sun... and if they do, they don't tan,
they sparkle!

Yeah, nice try trying to cash in on the Twilight train, Australian Gold, but if unless people are trying not to get tan, we're pretty sure this product ain't gonna sell too hot!

Now, if it was Quileute tanner...

Have you considered the fact that it says "make you long for Twilight…the dark just before the dawn" obviously they are talking about the real twilight. As in the time of day. You do realise that is still exists don't you.

Besides everyone knows you can't imitate an Aussie tan. You just can't, it's inbuilt.

Pretty sure this ad campaign is following the slap the word Twilight on anything and it will sell theory. It's a valid argument, but when you cross tanning with it's literal opposite (pale skinned vampires), the message gets lost in translation. I actually think the slogan "make you long for Twilight…the dark just before the dawn." is kinda hot, but completely confusing to their subliminal target audience--Twilighters. Not the worst attempt at leeching off Meyer's Cullen craze, but, then again, it might just be the sparkly rainbow packaging that has me "bewitched."
