Taylor Launter has landed another film role that doesn’t require him to be partially naked or turn into a CGI werewolf. According to Deadline, the young actor has been cast in the big screen adaptation of the Catherine Fisher novel Incarceron. The film will be produced by Fox 2000 who acquired the rights, and plan on making it a star vehicle for Lautner.
“Lautner will play Finn, who has lived his entire life on Incarceron, a savage, futuristic prison society. He meets the daughter of the warden, who is trapped in her own prison, a futuristic world constructed beautifully to look like the 17th Century. She knows nothing of Incarceron except that it exists. She and Finn simultaneously find a crystal key that allows them to communicate and hatch an escape plan for Finn.”
Lautner is said to be interested in producing the film as well. The 18 year old is really trying to step his game up. After the release of the next and final Twilight installment Breaking Dawn, he’ll have to find another way to expand his resume. It seems like becoming an action star is in his future.
