i can't imagine how things would pan out when they got back on set (if the rumor were true). in one of the play's i was in i had to kiss and be all over my boyfriends best friend -- no matter how professional actors are, we're human and feelings are involved. i can't imagine it would be anything less than super awkward on set for nikki, rob, and kristen under the given an implied circumstances..
