The Blind Side hasn't been released in Australia as yet and I haven't heard anything on this movie.
New Moon's release here in Oz blew every other movie out of the water [was there ever any doubt]!

The same site (MTV) was saying that "The Blind Side" was more complementary than rilvary to "New Moon"...

Just because Blind Side beat New Moon does not mean it is a better movie. It's just that movie goers are seeing something different - hard to comprehend I know but it happens. Last week my DH and I went to the movies. Same as we did the week before. On the 1st week we both saw New Moon. Last week I saw New Moon again and he went to a showing of 2012 that was close to the same time. Does not mean he likes NM any less - just means he wanted to see something else.

Some people - like me - can watch a movie over and over and love it the last time just as much as the first. Some people can't!

No reason to get panties in a wad here. I think that come Christmas break from schools you will see an increase in viewership because the kids will be able to go more often and they will have money and gift cards to spend.

wow i saw the blind side , it really is a good movie , and sandra bullock is a great actress, its a pretty hard feet to get a movie that was outshined but and awesome movie 2 weeks ago to make it to the #1 spot , like i said the blind side is a really good movie and it has great word of mouth. but new moon to me is just tha s*** , amazing . so im a little upset but second place isnt bad at all.

It's ok people. New Moon made 142 million it's first weekend and was number one for two weeks. We've made 570 million world wide in 16 days ? COME THAT'S AWESOME ! I thought Blind Side was an ok movie but people are watching other movies and that's ok BUT I'M planning to see New Moon at least once every week till it leaves and I hope everyone does too because it's going to be a hard wait for the DVD. We've been in the top three for the last three weekends that's good enough

WTH??????? Who cares about Blind Side??? UGH! And I thought New Moon was #1 of the year!!! People help going to watch New Moon!!!! Like trillion times!!!
