The End of the Year, NOT the end of the World!
I know most of you are young, probably not much older than say 40, but that still gives me years ( 30 to be exact ) on you, as well as a great deal of Life experience. Granted I’ve never been hooked on drugs, beaten, raped, or in prison. But I have been married 4 times ( some of us just take longer to learn than others ), given birth ( once was enough ) and have grand children. I’ve had individuals very close to me raped, robed and beaten. I’ve moved across the country more times than I care to remember and lived in six States and I’ve seen a lot of history in the making.
I’ve experience 70 New Years Eves, and I can tell you all without hesitation that Life will go on! You may think because you’re alone on New Years Eve, Valentines Day, your Birthday, whenever, that you’ll always be alone. I can’t begin to tell you how often I’ve thought that.
I know for a fact, you don’t have to be. We always have choices how our lives will go. Love yourself, and I promise you that someone, or a lot of someones, will love you to. It’s not as hard to love yourself as you might think, and you don’t have to belong to any religion to accomplish it. Hell, if I can do it, anyone can!
So, with that…

Iam 22 years old..i will turn 23 this moth ..i want to experience alot of things in my life but sometimes situations around you prevent you from achieving that but like you said ( Life will go on )..

Thankyou Granny Fairy, your words have helped me alot, I am a 46 yr old woman, ive had a rather s*** year, my husband abandoned my son and I, and finding out such horrible things, he has basically ripped my heart out and stamped on it, after 18yr's, so 2012 i am going to prove to myself that it will be a joyous year for my son and I, thankyou.:)

:) My christmas was alright! I spent the holidays with my beloved ones... and I know it is during this time of the year that people get more depressed, it is a scientific fact... You should write your memories down, that would be a delightful read! Hugs to you, too!

You think I've lead such an exciting life? No. Just eventful compared to others I know of. Maybe someday I fictionalize my life story. LOL.
