She said her work on midnight sun is on hold indefinitely. Meaning...there's a high probability that she'll never publish it. If you want to read more than the first chapter, you can download the first 12 chapters on her website. Hope that helps!

she has updated in interviews (not on her site)that she plans on finishing it but not until the hype from the movies dies down so i wouldn't look for it until after breaking dawn comes out and has been out on dvd for a while. she said everyone is watching her every move and she can't write like that not in a fish bowl. she said that she wrote twilight for her initially and that is how she has to write midnight sun for it to turn out right, she has to write for herself and not trying to please her fans (understandable).
