I don't remember a "John" character in Eclipse... Unless he is one of the newborns in the movie who are mostly unnamed in the book, does anyone know who this is supposed to be?

At least I'm NOT THE ONLY ONE CONFUSED HERE???? I've re-scanned through my Eclipse book to make sure I didn't forget anybody and there is NO JOHN? So please somebody explain to me who "John" is? The Vampiress who is she suppose to be? Vampire..figured that much....but whom and where does she fit in? If "Rain" is a singer how does he fit in the movie...I'm so confused? Is anybody else confused on these 3 new characters? So confused???
