I went to see the movie, as "this is it, end of story and journey".
I've never had extreme high hopes, I always wanted to experience, what I did when I read the books: wanted the feeling on screen.
Just to state: BD is my favorite book from the series, because of it's complexity, emotional turmoil, and that "you-never-know" sense.
After the movie one thing was missing: the catharsis.
What was perfect: end-game, Aro, Clans (esp. Garrett, Alistair, Romanians), Charlie, the Cottage, the Shield.
Missing: Bella-Charlie interaction (too low key from Bella); J. Jenks nervous, frightened character, Jacob vs. Rosalie, more of Emmett's teasing
Aro - like it or not, Michael Sheen practically overshadowed everyone on screen. Simply perfect, excellent!
End-game (fight): absolutely perfect! It had the edge like in the book; the tension, that you don't know how it will end.
Nessie growing, baby Nessie - actually she freaked me out. I understand that CGI was necessary for her part, but she was so mechanical, artificial no matter what, that it practically scared me.
The biggest drama and most beautiful part: Seth's and Leah's "death" - now that was a weeping moment. Perhaps it was so touching and dramatic, because everything was in their eyes.
Still, one thing is for sure, TS will always be the most beautiful, perfect, loving fairy tale of 21st century that the world and all the daily dramas need.
