So I was talking with one of my best guy friends, and he said he refused to even try reading the Twilight books or see the movie because "that's only what girls and wimpy guys read".
Do you think tha'ts true? I've seen many guys read the series, or atleast watch the movie and enjoy it! Maybe that's just where I live??
I think that Twilight has the love story for the girls, and the action for the boys! I don't get why he would say that. Maybe just the testosterone?
Still, I think that's pretty ignorant to not even give the movie or books a try. Just because more girls enjoy Twilight than boys, doesn't mean it's just for girls. I think Stephanie Meyer made it for girls AND boys. They never know, maybe they would like Twilight if they even considered reading it.
Some people are also calling it "childish". I get that some people may call it childish because of all the fantasy(ex. vampires, werewolves) but I think Twilight is a universal book, one that kids, teenagers, and adults could all enjoy reading.
I get that not everyone is going to like Twilight, because not everyone likes Harry Potter. It's just that I wish people who have never even gave Twilight a chance would stop criticizing it, because half the time they don't even know what they're talking about.
