Twilight-related headlines coming from all angles of the saga - from the cast to the directors to the fans...here are some of the most interesting news we've received from last week headlines.
This fan-made poster of the Volturi made its way to the net. It is a lovely compilation of all of the promotional stills issued by film studio Summit Entertainment last week.
Former co-star Emile Hirsch (from Into The Wild) had a few things to say about her in a recent interview. Included in those sentiments was a suggestion that it was his praise of the actress that got Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke (who he had worked with before in Lords Of Dogtown with Nikki Reed, and who he will work with again in Hamlet) interested in her.
In an interview with OK magazine
“I was gushing about her,” he says. “I think she’s so talented and so perfect.”
He continues, “She’s a great conversationalist, very inquisitive. She’s got a little bit of an edge, too, though, so she’s not a pushover. She’s strong and cool. She’s beautiful, she’s smart, and she’s emotional, too.”
Catherine Hardwicke, was quoted by MTV to discuss Stewart's co-star Robert Pattinson and his aversion to "long, romantic hair"
for the part of Edward Cullen (good call Rob, right?). According to MTV,
"I thought it would be cool if Rob had long, romantic hair,"
Hardwicke told the gathered attendees. "So we put extensions on Rob and he just hated it. He sat there in the chair for eight hours and was like, 'No.'"
Hardwicke also discussed the blood-typing scene in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. According to MTV,
For one, the beloved "blood test" scene from the novel was cut to add variety to the filming locations — and to abate Hardwicke's bloody fears. "I was actually that person that fainted in my seventh-grade biology class,"
she said. (EWW can't imagine faking Rob's hair)
David Slade has been at it again with his Twitter account. This time, he's tweeted another picture of Taylor Lautner on-set The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - this time, doing a back-flip "from standing still." Keep 'em coming, David (though some of his Twitter followers are hoping he might issue a few snaps of his other cast members, too).
