Comment by JoS on June 27, 2011 at 2:08pm Well, technically, it isn't a "landmark" at all --- only to Twilight fans. But there shouldn't be any need or use for the school building in both parts of Breaking Dawn, and if they need to put in a new school, let them. The Twilight Saga doesn't own Forks or Seattle or anything like that, so we really don't technically have a right to say it shouldn't be torn down, just because our favorite movie was filmed there.
Not to be mean here, but who honestly really cared about the school in general? Who cared about Forks in general before Twilight? No one, really, unless they lived there. We haven't lost anything. Twilight's coming to a close and it's time to be moving on. It's not like when people are becoming old or begining a family they'll want to go back to see the school where their favorite movie when they were a teenager was filmed. It's kind of silly. To be so upset over it being torn down.
What true meaning did it have to us? Besides Twilight scenes being filmed there? It's just an empty building! Bella, Edward, Cullens, ect. aren't in there being torn down with it. We still have the books and films, too.
