Update from Ryan Seacrest on tonight's Twilight surprise at the Oscars:"Just talked to one of the Oscar producers, that rumor that we've been hearing about.. I just confirmed a huge Twilight musical moment on tonight's show. They say it's act seven, so I think that's about halfway though the show. If you're a Twilight fan, you'll want to see that in the actual Oscar telecast". -via @RobPattzNews

Okay, now that I've come down off the high of seeing Eclipse-Jacob shown at the Oscars, I do agree with most everyone's assessment of the buildup of that 'surprise' -- it was for the sake of ratings, I know, and really not worth the wait.

@ bella I know so many fans are going to be so pissed at ryan seacrest.. it was false advertising BIG time.. you cant say its going to blow our minds and give us a 20sec muscial clip.. we totally just got jibbed.. how could they do this to us.. i feel so cheated..grrr

I decided not to watch the Oscars tonight because FX was playing I, Robot and then Hancock..so being a Will Smith fan I went with the movies instead of acceptance speaches. Once I found out that a movie trailor would not be on the Oscars I started looking for something else to watch, prefect night of Will Smith for me:):)

Although it was just for the ratings, and the clip was absolutely retarded, I just about peed my pants watching it.
