O.k. so I don't blog much ... in fact - I've never blogged before -- But i Just had to Blog about the party I went to because it was that awesome!!

Im located in Middle tennessee and we have a "entertainment" store Called Hastings. They sell Movies, Books, Magizines, comic books, Cds, electronics, and Movie Memorabilia - and they have held a party for EVERY TWILIGHT EVENT - Books, DVDs, you name it but they out did themselves this Years

First, The food:

We had "blood" Punch and Vampire Cupcakes for the Vampires. The Blood Punch had a thicker consistency, more than jsut water - wierdly enough it was the consistency of Blood (or what i would think blood would be like) and the Cupcakes had "puncture marks" and when bitten into - THEY BLED! I have so really great Pictures on my facebook page and even created a storyboard out of the Pictures of the Cupcakes

There was "vampires - in - coffins" and Hot chocalate for the werewolves. The "vampires- in - coffins" were pigs in blankets AKA mini hotdogs inside crossicant rolls

And for those "Vegatarians" amoung us all - celery, carrots, broccoli, and a fruit bowl of strawberries, melon, grapes, and blackberries (they were all creatively named - Fruit salad was a "cullen creation" and the Veggi platter was the "cullen legacy")

Second, THE GUEST SPEAKER

The store brought in a local Mixed Martail artist who taught all of us basic self-defense moves so we can "walk away like the cullens" next time we are attacked by a newborn army. They had volunteers practice with their practiced personannel - they would "attack" and we would "defend" ... and my favorite was when I got to Practice move # 2... In "move 2" the first step was to stop the attack - an attacker plans on you trying to get away so if you go at them and scream and put your hands all in their face they wont know what to do and it will confuse them jsut a couple of seconds but those couple of seconds is a big advantage. Plus the Scream will attract attention of others - so either scream or yell loudly something Intimadating ... and when it was my turn i got all up into his face and yelled the must intimidating thing i could think of ... "VOLTURI" ... LOL everyone jsut stopped and startign laughing - It was so much fun but very knowledgable

THIRD - ACTIVITIES

We played many games - including the twilight, new moon, and eclipse board games and scene its and had trivia contests, a costume contest, and a debate on who's better: Team Edward or Team Jacob

There was a door prize and it was decided by a raffle drawing. You got one ticket for showing up, 2 for participating in the Self- Defense demo, 1 ticket + Prize if you could answer a trivia question, 1 ticket if you played a board game - 2 tickets + prize if you won.. plus ...

CHARITY - The one thign that they asked was though the party was free to attend they asked us to help support a charity that they were sponsoring - SO THE TWILIGHTERS UNITED AND DID GOOD FOR OTEHRS WHILE HAVING A BLAST ... they gave 2 raffle tickets for every can good you brought in for their food drive

The Decorations - they had amazing decorations with a Cullen Section and a Jacob section and a Bella Section .. .The Jacob section had paw prints and Framed Jacob Quotes from the Book and Movie and the Cullen Section had trees and Edward Quotes from the Book and Movie, and the Bella Section had Pillows and Cushions (in case she tripped and fell over something??) and bella Quotes ... And the Fans even brought stuff to add to the store's stuff .. .and we all got to bring stuff home!

the Door Prizes: a Free DVD of Eclipse ($30value)(the very first one- didnt have to wait in line!) and a Replica of the Engagement Ring ($50 value)

IT was an amazing night - i have been to many many Parties and this one is the best by far - the only way it could have been better is if we had a cast member there or we were in FORKS ... but if you cant be in Forks or have a cast member present - then Come see us - because we have a GREAT TIME!
