Hello, I'm just curious and want to know people's opinions/reactions to Breaking Dawn. Did you like it? Was it bad?

I personally loved Breaking Dawn. The wedding was amazing and beautiful. Bella and Edward's first night of their honeymoon was very sweet and romantic. I love how they did they're first time, with Bella reflecting on her night with Edward the morning after. The song they chose is very beautiful.

I love that the movie was very close to the book. I love that we were reminded of how much in love Edward and Bella are. I think that we've lost that feeling for a while and now it was brought back and we see that Edward really can't live without Bella.

One of my favorite moments is when Edward hears Renesmee for the first time (in mind) and he kisses Bella's stomach. It's so cute and such a precious moment for them.

The birth scene was great. I give credit to all of the people who where involved in that scene. Especially Rob and Kristen. You can really feel how desperate Edward becomes when he's trying to save Bella by pushing the venom into her system. Kristen did an amazing job, I was very impressed. Even Taylor did a good job. I was having doubts about him, but he did good.

So, Tell me what YOU guys thought of BD. I really want your opinions.

I agree with you Steph, that the morning after Bella's first night in bed with Edward was a great, tasteful way of reflecting on her thoughts of it all. It was very sweet, very nicely edited.

I was not thrilled with the soundtrack, though. I had high hopes, but I find myself not that eager to buy the soundtrack this time around, whereas I have been with the previous Twilight soundtracks. However, I was really happy and pleasantly surprised to hear "Flightles Bird, American Mouth" again, dolled up a bit for the wedding scene -- that was a great decision on someone's part!

Cute, cute moments: when Renee breezes by the graduation caps display while Charlie is seriously wondering about them; when Charlie responds to the girls admiring him in his tux with "I know. I'm hot." Yes, Billy Burke, yes you are hot. With or without the tux. Lol.

I also was impressed that they actually integrated the Pacific Northwest timber industry into the movie, with the wolfpack gathering around all the logs and floating logjams -- nice touch, Condon! I mean, after all, this saga takes place in an area of the United States where felling trees is a huge industry.

I do wish the camera had stayed longer on the wolfpack and their imprints on First Beach. There was barely enough time for the eye to figure out which Quileute was which!

I loved that Taylor was wearing a white shirt when he met with Bella at the wedding reception, to go with her white wedding gown. They looked terrific together, as always.

Soooo much more to say, but overall, a very good, complex, and rich movie. Very enjoyable!

One more thing to add: when Bella was going through the changing process and her mind was reliving many, many moments of her life, I sure wish they'd included a moment in her childhood when she was making mud pies with Jacob on the rez, since this was mentioned in the first movie and also in the book. That would have been a nice nod to the longstanding friendship she's had with Jacob. Hey, Summit or Rosenberg, did any of you guys think of that??

I loved it. I am so glad they split it into 2 moves so they could stay closer to the book. Everyone really stepped it up in this film and did an amazing job. I was particularly impressed w/how they did the birth scene, Jacob imprinting (which I was REALLY worried about)  and Bella dying. Rob did such an amazing job playing Edward as he fought to save the love of his life. It is one of the most heart wrenching and sad scenes I have ever seen in a movie. And then I loved how they did Bella's transformation very cool. I really want to go see it again. I've only seen it once. I think it's my favorite film so far of the saga. After being very impressed w/part 1 it made me even more excited for part 2. I hate that we have to wait a year!

My only qualms were I hated how they changed while Bella is changing Edward leaves her. In the book he stays by her side for 3 days and won't leave. But since they decided to change the wolf action and have it more of a threat I guess once he knew her heart was pumping again (though I didn't get that while watching it) he would leave to protect his family. I do love the line "I won't let them hurt my family". And then I wish there was more of Seth (my favorite wolf) and Leah. And I do wish the scene where Edward & Bella go tell Charlie they're getting married. I've always loved that scene in the book & I know Billy Burke would have been amazing in it.

I absolutely loved it.  Very emotional when Edward says to Bella "come back to me, baby please". Rob did an amazing job in this one (I think he put alot of himself in it) Kristen did beyond amazing in this movie, I see alot of herself in here as well.  I loved the part when Bella tries to seduce Edward with the black nightie and then Edwards reaction.  The music is great and I love the flash backs like when Jacob is running in the woods after he finds out Bella is pregnant and then again when Bella is changing and she is seeing her memories.  There are parts of the book that I thought would be hard to translate on screen but they did a great job telling this story in a movie.  I am happy that Stephenie had alot to do with it.  I think the whole cast and crew did an amazing job on this movie and they should be proud; especially Bill Condon because he said he was under alot of pressure to please the fans...well I am a huge fan and I think he did beyond great...I know part 2 will be just as good as part 1.  I also liked the part when they show the venom spreading inside Bella. I can't wait to see Kristen as a vampire...like Rob has said "Kristen is the best actress of her generation".

The compilation of Bella-memories during her transformation was nothing short of excellent. Every time I watch that part, I get really sentimental and nostalgic as I watch all the past scenes of our beloved movies, because it reminds me how much this saga means to me, how many different emotions this saga has put me through; new friends that I have found; new websites I've discovered; the thrills of attending a Twi-convention; the fan fics I've read and also written; all thanks to this saga. So it's extremely meaningful to me.

Not to mention the technique they used to run through all the past scenes during Bella's transformation.... it helps evoke these strong emotions in me. It was so beautifully done. So big gold stars to the cinematographer and editor of Breaking Dawn!!
