I know that I will never get a chance to meet Kristen Stewart OR Robert Pattinson OR Taylor Lautner. Trust me, I think I've entered every Twilight contest there is, including the obnoxious one Volvo sponsored that you had to finish all those extremely hard puzzles. So I decided to write on a Twilight fan site exactly what I would want to tell Kristen if I ever got the chance to meet her. Who knows, maybe I'll be lucky enough that she WILL read it someday. But until then.. here goes nothing:
I have heard you say a numerous amount of times in interviews that any awkward brunette teenaged girl could have played the role of Bella Swan. Maybe this is true, and maybe none of us would have known who you are today, but because you did I strongly applaud you. I am also a 20 year old girl, much like yourself, trying to figure out what the hell I want from life. However, I am no where near as exposed and as pressured as you may sometimes feel. I may not be able to relate to everything you go through but I am here to tell you that I look up to you. Not because you get to kiss "like the most totally hottest guys everrrr" but because of how passionate, strong and intelligent you are. It can't be easy getting on stage to speak in front of millions of people and not be nervous. If it were me, I would probably not even be able to talk and do much worse than accidentally drop my award. Actually, it makes me happy to see silly things like that because it reminds me that you are JUST a normal girl like me. I know it must be aggravating that people intrude on your space and flash cameras in your face when all you want is peace. And I know it must be annoying seeing your face plastered on dollar magazines claiming they know so much about your life. I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't read that garbage or contribute to its publishing by buying it. I think keeping your private life a secret is incredibly wise being that it's no ones business except your own. Which brings me to the main reason why I wanted to write you this letter. I gained so much respect for you after hearing that you didn't want to cheapen your relationships with people by exploiting them. It is so true! Just because you are in the most talked about movie of our time doesn't mean people should impact who you choose to love. And I'm sure the rest of your true fans would agree with me on this, you always seem to stay very true to yourself. Us girls have so much pressure to try and be someone we're not, when in reality, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you. Kristen, on behalf of every single girl or woman who loves the Twilight series, thank you so much. We really really really appreciate how well you know Bella. I took a film class this summer and learned that the key to being a great actor is how well you know your character. They should be able to answer any question a person asks about them. I wish I could tell you this in person, but I appreciate your passion for Bella and the Twilight Saga. It isn't just some goofy overhyped teenage romance to me, it's a strong message about love and devotion. I think if people got past the hot guys and took a deeper look into this story they too would appreciate this escape from reality. Thank you for allowing us lonely and under appreciate girls to put ourselves in the shoes of someone who has truly loved. You are a wonderful actress and I'm so glad Catherine chose you for the part. Keep your chin up girl, you're awesome.
