Welcome to the obsessed with twilight site LOL!! My friends are all sick of me too! They just don't understand :) Any way i think that what did it for me is that Rob is Edward, Emotionally in the movie i really felt like he loved Bella in the protective way that he should. And Physically he is AMAZING, but really it was his crooked smile that leaves me in shock everytime he laughs :) -Sigh- i love it!!

I totally understand how you feel. I was driving the people in my life CRAZY over Twilight. No worries here. We all love Twilight so obsess away,lol! I think Rob is great as Edward (emotionally) because he really seems conflicted over the situation with Bella. Physically Rob is great because he is BEAUTIFUL! I also think that Rob has so many similarities to Edward that it was a natural fit. I cannot picture anyone else as Edward.

Hi - well this is certainly a site where your online friends won't tire of you!! LOL For me I think its Robert's whole mannerism that makes him as close to how Stephanie envisaged Edward to be. The high cheekbones, strong jawline and the crooked smile that Robert has all come so close to what we see in Edward. I think Robert is truly portraying Edward so closely and so well. When Stephanie wrote that Edward was like a beautifully marbelled sculpture and then you go and have a look at Robert in the Italy filming pics - what can I say - i think he is pretty damn close to being perfect in every way!!

I think its because roberts such a quiet, subtle actor. He manages to make even the smallest things - smiles, looks - carry lots of meaning.

And he's just classically beautiful, that face is never going to go out of style! :)

Congradulations on your First Blog an Welcome to the Twi-Family..For me i think what makes Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) is his loving and funny side and he really does have the beautiful features that Stephanie Meyer describes (Edward) as Being....And My Sister and I totally get the the Obsession thing..we have it all..:D..and drive everyone crazy over our Obsession.

I just joined yesterday--though I've been haunting this sight for awhile :)--I'm glad I did because now I don't have to bore my hubby with my obsession. LOL I think Rob is the perfect Edward because he carries everything that Edward was to me in the book with perfection--devistatingly handsome, mysterious, frightening when he needs to be, haunted, ecompassed by his love for Bella. It believed him as Edward and it seems to me that Rob did all he could to become Edward, which tells me that he cared about this role. I wouldn't want anyone playing a character in my favorite series ever unless they gave their all to be that character. ~Mel

Rob gives Edward emotional depth. He brings Edward's inner tumult that we got a taste of in the "Midnight Sun" manuscript, and can do a furrowed brow like nobody's business.

He has the right body--wiry and muscular but not like Kellan/Emmett--and tall and lean. He is a musician like Edward, and he has elegant, long piano player fingers like Edward. He has the grin that so irritated Bella in "Twilight", and he does things with his mouth that are distinctly vampire-y. I can't imagine anyone else pulling it off, but maybe because I saw Rob as Edward before I read the books. I was pre-disposed to loving him in the role.

I agree about Rob. He totally fits the description of Edward. I hope they let him sing to Bella as Edward does in the books. He sings her to sleep and Rob has a wonderful voice. I have seen some of his other acting in other roles and I find him to be a dedicated actor and very good. I believe he has a long career ahead of him.

i think the director needed a small and non-famous actor.. because she wanted to generate a new handsome freaK haha... like high school musical an zach efron.. its amazing how RP has been improving since harry potter.. ( i thought he was soooo ugly haha).. he is reaally into Edward and physically o m g he really is an angel... lol
