Heavy In Your Arms… that song alone makes me a fan of Florence+Machine!
Wicked, Definitely Dangerously vigorous deeply…..EDWARD BELLA AND JACOB!!!

Love it!

One thing about Twilight soundtracks they tell the story of the movie to the t.
“Heavy In your Arms is about the trio that is-Edward,Bella and Jacob. I
first heard the song, when I purchased the Eclipse soundtrack from
Itunes. Usually, when the twilight soundtrack comes out I have a habit
of waiting to hear the movie, to see exactly where they placed the
song. But, I absolutely had to listen to three songs from soundtrack
(because of the artist and song title) Eclipse (All Yours) by Metric,
Let’s get lost by Beck & Bat for Lashes and Heavy In your Arms by
Florence+The Machine!!!! First and foremost I couldn’t wait to hear the
title of the song in the actual song-and why it was titled that. Then I
heard the song- and it literally made me cry-you could so tell Florence
puts her energy and passion into the song-its like she sang from
personal experience. She brings such soul to music she blazes the song
with her energy. I could just picture the recording studio staff, when
she sang the song they must have balled their eyes out!!! My sister and
I played the song again and again after we saw Eclipse for the
billionth time. It sends chills down your spine!! Not may artist can do
that. Beeeeeautiful fervent voice plus she’s a redhead!!!! And, she was
soooooo wicked at the VMAS!

After seeing Eclipse I just couldn’t understand why HIYA wasn’t placed
in the actual movie!! Its such a paramount, pivotal conclusive song
essentially revealing Bella’s feeling towards Edward and Jacob and one
of the most difficult choices in her life. I could just picture it
now-if it was placed during the actual movie-In one of the final scene
of Eclipse when Bella makes her choice known to Jacob-like there was
even a choice! TEAM EDWARD! Lol. That would have been so monumental!!!

The lyrics of “Heavy In Your Arms” is just basically sums up the angst
and drama of way way back in Twilight to literally Eclipse- and of the
love triangle that Is Twilight. To me it’s mostly about how undecided
and torn Bella is. To Bella she seems to be the only one who’s getting
older and weaker-compared to everyone else around her-due to the fact
she’s human. She’s dragging her significant other down.”' Is it worth
that Edward and Jacob risking their families’ lives-their lives.
"And is it worth the wait,
All this killing time?
Are you strong enough to stand,
Protecting both your heart and mine?”

Bella often admits throughout the series that she is a burden ,baggage,
too much for Edward. She sometimes even blames herself for her downfall
(New Moon). Bella always felt she wasn’t good enough for Edward- &
what happened in New Moon didn’t help! But, still Bella is unable to
let go. "Wrapped around your ankles”. But at the same time the song reflects **Edward/Bella**  -their love
.” My love has concrete feet, my love's an iron ball
Wrapped around your ankles, over the waterfall”

Edward has an unrelenting love for Bella-there’s no turning back for him.

“I was a heavy heart to carry
My beloved was weighed down
My arms around his neck
My fingers laced a crown
I was a heavy heart to carry
My feet dragged across the ground

Bella feels selfish for loving Edward-her problems (being human most of
all-in the supernatural world that is Edwards life) adds problems to
his own.
The line:
“And he took me to the river
Where he slowly let me drow”

Bella almost doesn’t blame Edward for leaving her in New Moon, and her
lack of faith in Edward’s love, ended up slightly causing her to depend
on someone else:Jacob!

"Who is the betrayer the killer in the crowd? The one who creeps in corridors and never makes a sound"
is most definitely a metaphor for love. She is too scared to admit her love like in the lines:

“This will be my last confession
"I love you" never felt like any blessing
Whisper it like it's a secret
Uttered to condemn the one who hears it
With a heavy heart

Bella is basically torn between living the life she should live, and
the life she wants. Regardless of what everyone has to say,or the fact
that she broke her best friends heart (Jacob)-It is WHAT SHE WANTS-and
it shall be!

As I read New Moon, I could really feel the anguish and the extreme
heartache Bella must have felt. Thinking about it now still makes my
heart hurt for her. Then Edward comes back, and she’s torn between the
two of them. When I heard Heavy in your arms, and then I see the video
its so dangerously raw. She is literally being dragged-its drastically
creative. The black and white film adds that touch. I could so relate
to it, a love that shouldn’t exist but you can’t seem to control it!
Its best of things and it is the worst of things. It can either destroy
your soul or you can’t live without it-ITS CALLED LOVE! And, sometimes
it bloody hurts.

This song is sums up the whole twilight series up to eclipse. It’s such
an Eclipse’ish song. She could get both the men she loves killed. She
feels guilty for her unrequited love for Jacob. She also felt guilty
for hurting Edward as she tried to hang onto both of them.

This line is basically like in the book when Bella realizes she loves Jacob, "I love you" never felt like any blessing"
in the book she told Jacob, that he didn’t gain anything by making her
realize that she loves him because she's staying/choose Edward. WHO

The love of Bella and Edward is like anything else and the final line
is about Edward. He’s strong enough to protect them both. In the end
Bella realizes that, she is worth his love. FOREVER!!
“I was a heavy heart to carry
But he never let me down
When he held me in his arms
My feet never touched the ground”

I BLOODY love this song, the emotion in the lyrics is soooo Edward,
Bella and Jacob. Its so Eclip………se. FLORENCE DID a friggin’ great job!

I'm a relatively new Florence fan but I love them so freaking much! My best friend from the UK may be there biggest fan and gushes about them 24/7. Honestly it took "heavy in your arms" for me to finally listen but now Im hooked. I do think the song is deffo from Bellas perspective about Jacob. I wonder why they didn't use it in the tent scene or after cause I think it would have fit. The lyrics fit for how she feels or how she makes jacob feel. her heart is to heart for him to carry cause of edward <3

woo love Florence..cosmic love fab fab song!!

I'm so naffed off! Why are all the Twifans competitions for US/Canada only????? It's really beginning to grate on me that all the good Twilight related competitions/junkets/parties/premiere's etc etc are never available in the UK!
We Brits love it just as much!!!!! So come on, please start doing some stuff for us too!!!!!!

Florence is amazing first of all. Every single one of her songs makes since and is relatable to some point in your life. I love that her music actually has a meaning to it, and it's not just noise. You never here music like hers on the radio, and since hearing of her about a year ago, I havn'r turned on the radio since. She inspires me to get up and dance. Mostly I listen to her when I am writing because each tune has a message that makes me think about something to write in a novel of mine. I like that she isn't all sexy, sexy. She shows how to be sexy without implying that you need to be dirty. Heavy in Your Arms is a breath taking song that depictes bella in way that can only be out done by Stephnie herself. I don't like the placement, it needed to be in the actual movie, I think during the leg-hitch scene or when Jacob is carrying her up the mountain.
I love Florence + Machine more than life sometimes and I am very commited to letting others know how amazing this band is.
<3 Allison.

OMG!!! I have been the biggest Florence + the Machine fan for almost a year now! I have their CD as well as on my Ipod. I listen to them everyday practically. I find their music so artistic and original, I love their sound. I know the lyrcis to every song on their Lungs album. I find it to be so wonderful. Florence is such a wonderful artist and completely beautiful voice, I haven't met a lot of people who know Florence and the Machine but I tell them about it and usually they become fans as well. I have been looking to see if they are coming to the US for concerts but not yet. I can't afford to get to the UK but I want to see them sooooo badly!! This would make my whole year if I got a signed copy of their record from Florence and the Machine. I love them so much!!!

I hate it when people say she is "Florence OF Florence And The Machine".... SPELL IT, PEOPLE: SHE IIIIIIIS FLORENCE + THE MACHINE. She does NOT have a constant band around her, she chooses the new for every gig. So please, stop that. That's why I prefer to say Florence WELCH. >_br /> Sorry for the bickering but I had that in my system.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm where do i gush....i'll just gush here!!! :D
OMFEEEEEEEEE i fell in love with Heavy In Your Arms the moment i first heard it. it fit the mood of Eclipse instantly and my favorite line near the end "When he held me in his arms my feet never touched the ground" in my opinion it fits edward and bella beautifully<3
i hate that they didnt play it in the movie i was waiting for it while watching the whole movie and at the end i was like "wtf where's heavy in ur arms?" just like Decode bby paramore, the best songs were saved for the end :'(
the lyrics mean a lot to me b/c i feel that wen u love someone but u cause them so much trouble u feel u r a burden. and in the mist of it all u ask "is it worth it?" it may be worth it to u, but is it worth it to them? u cant ever kno cuz u cant read their mind or feel how they feel. yet there's this deep connection NO ONE can ever break, which is rare. but there's always some one trying to break it huh? *cough*jacob*cough* there's so many confusing lyrics like "this will be my last confession i love u never felt like any blessing" but that's wat love is all about, being confused but havig that one person who u will never be confused about. once u have a well understanding anyway.
in my mind florence is speaking for bella, she's always considering everyone, edward, jacob, her parents, her future family-the Cullens, but she knew how heavy she was, and tried what ever to keep "balanced"
Cosmic love and Hardest of hearts R AMAZING!!!! LOVE Florence + The Machine, one song and ur hooked :)

I love & enjoy "heavy in your arms" more than anything! I love listening to it when I feel melancholy & when I sleep at night. It really puts me to sleep and I love drowning into the music. The lyrics mean a lot to me because I can relate to it...in many levels. And I totally agree that Florence is speaking for Bella! It definitely relates to her situation and her feelings/thoughts and what she's going through.

p.s love florence & the machine so much! i'm glad they put them on the soundtrack because it's because of that i got to find out about them. amazing band + amazing singer (florence) = EPICNESS.
