YUP, IM SO MATURE!

this is a follow- up to my blog about how much twilight sucks.

yes, i am responding!!! many of you thought i wouldnt- yeah ok. like im gonna let this go!
some one called me an attention seeker with too much free time- yup thats pretty much true. i was just looking for someone to debate with, and you guys pretty much answered my call! lol. and i do have alot of free time.....

ok. so some of you said that im saying you cant like 2 book series @ once. YOU CAN! im just saying harry potter is better- but if you dont think so whatever!!!! im jsut insulted that you ppl started saying that twilight is the new harry potter, and how harry potter is a kids book when you havnt even read it!!!! i read twilight and ill give meyer props for the 1st one. good, fun read. but the last 3 books are just puke, puke, puke. theyre innapropriate, and now youre all probably saying "see, youre some kid and you just read kid books. im not saying that but only a book thats written for all ages is gonna last! harry potter is a legend and it owns the literature world. twilight will fade somday. wake up! yup, robert pattinson is cute but EDWARD ISNT REAL!! wow you people.......

so if anyone wants to debate with me, im free!! lol

They are two different books and are meant for reading and enjoyment. J.K. and Steph didnt intend to write these books to show up the others. They wrote it to tell a story that they wanted to tell. They cannot be compared if they werent meant to be compared in the first place. Enjoy the two series and even more books. Don't debate, just read. And another thing....you can debate all you want about which is better, but you don't have to do it on this site. Go to like Myspace or Facebook, start a group and debate it there. Don't go to a site where you KNOW everyone's gotta be Twilight fans and start debating. Go to a a neutral site and do your debating.

But they both appeal to their target audiences, including all ages, and they both serve a significant role as getting young people motivated to pick up a book and read, hopefully creating interest in other books as a result.

For you to say that Potter is better than Twilight would be like me saying a Louis L'Amour western book is better than a bodice-ripper, such as "Skye O'Malley," the tawdry adventure tale of a young woman who has many lusty adventures, including losing her virginity twice (she had a head injury when she was captured by pirates, producing amnesia, and when she was sold to the Whoremaster of Algiers she did not remember she had been married twice, and had three children...all by the age of 18...I only explain this detail because it is one of the best examples of some of the ROFLMAO experiences you have when reading this type of book).

Westerns and bodice-rippers are written for two different target demographics. To compare the two for which is "better" or "worse," without defining the target audience, is like asking someone to say which was better, oranges or lemons, without defining that "better" would mean whether the people who would be eating the two fruits would prefer a more sweeter or sour fruit.

What Harry is doing is launching a string of logical fallacies in the forms of unsupported, entirely subjective claims.

A debate consists of defining a premise, then presenting credible OBJECTIVE data to support your premise, then drawing the premise through the objective data to reach a conclusion.

That is not what Harry does at all. In addition to his subjective claims, he also makes completely unsupported statements against Twilight fans. That type of logical fallacy is called an "ad hominem" attack, and it is the mark of a very impotent debater who cannot support her/his premise by honest means and so must stoop to dishonest and unethical tactics.

Harry Potter is fictional and so is Twilight.. But of both, what book do you think is closer to reality? I would say Twilight because, vampires are real but not in the sense they eat people or anything like Twilight or any other vampire novel. This the very common question asked. Are vampires real? The answer to this question depends on your definition of the word vampire. If you feel that vampires are the creatures depicted in movies and in books then I would have to say no. To date, I have not met or even heard of a varafiable creature such as that.
If on the other hand, you beleive that vampires are people who are basically normal with the exception of one or two abnomalities such as hypersensitivity to light, heightened psychic abilities, and the physical need to consume blood, then my answer would be yes.
But are wizards real? No.

I was getting off topic but anyways. I like both books but I LOVE LOVE LOVE Twilight more and that is why I'm in this website. You, on the other hand, joined this website not because you love it or even like it. You are here to let people agree with you and force their opinions...
