How are you my find friend from Down Under? It' been way too long since we last spoke, and I know you must be excited about the release of Eclipse soon. Tell me how you have been. I have missed talking with you.
Yeah I can understand that Dee! We see it on the 20th here and it can't get here quick enough for me! I am really excited about this movie and the one they are presently filming! I think Eclipse is gonna be on a whole other level! The move went good and I am settled now so I will be on at least once a day! Probably more! Lol Delete Comment
Today can only be better than yesterday. Yesterday I was rear ended on the expressway in a high speed collision. The other car was traveling at about 120 kph and couldn't or at least didn't stop. I walked away (again, second rear ender in 6 momths) unfortunately my passenger had to be taken to the hospital. The car that hit me was a older Honda Civic and was totaled. My car, a Subaru Outback survived nicely again. I'r really beginning ot like Subies, :-)
So yeah, I hope to today is a lot better than yesterday and I hope yours is too.
I always liked the Bee Gees too. They had a number of hits that I liked, always favored "How to you mend a broken Heart" and the barry and Barbara Striesand duet "guilty". I found that album, 40 of their hits. One of my favorites of theirs was from an earlier album and was called Odessa, can hardle find it anywhere any more. The Association was from the mid - late 60's with songs like Cherish, Windy, Never My Love, and Along Comes Mary. 6 member group from California. Glenn Yarbourgh was also from the 60's he did a lot of songs that were Rod McKuen poems. Beautiful stuff, not happy music. Kind of a cult thing from the San Francisco era (hippies and Asbury Park).
Actually I have two Bee Gees songs on my page "Words" and "How Can You Mend" and I will upload "Stayin Alive for you." I also upload a couple of Yarbourgh's too. I let you know when and what number the are on my list. I do the same for the Assoc when I find it.
Dee - Last part of weekend was better mentally anyway, still frustrating but better. I have a lot of cd's that I have collected and as tastes vary, sometimes I forget where I put them. A few days ago, while listening to the radio, I decided to get out three of the cd's, but they weren't were I thought they would be, resulting in a whole house search and garage cleaning. Bad idea! lol
The cd's are old and you may not have heard of them all. I found two of the three, finally gave up on the last.
Glenn Yarbrough - The Lonely Things
The Association - Greatest Hits
Bee Gees - Greatest Hits (I think you might know this group - lol)
Haven't found the Association, tired of cleaning, will probably try to buy a new copy. I am sure more cleaning is still needed, God only knows what I might find. Some things in there haven't been touched in 10 years. LOL
Hope you have a great week ahead. Family and friends are important, enjoy.
Can't believe I fell asleep and missed by best Aussie friend. :-( Mentally and physically exhausted from my weekend. Went to casino Saturday nite, won gas money basically nothing more. Sunday started cleaning garage when looking for a missing cd, never found it. Got good news of a friend's early return home on Sunday nite plus my wounded soldier friend came home Sunday. Other than that, not much exciting here, in fact kind of depressing sometimes. Looking forward to the holdiay on Monday to be better.
Hope your Monday is a sparkly day. You need to take care, safe safe and enjoy.
